For years, Mandy wanted to start a non-profit to assist rescues with training dogs so that once they were adopted, they wouldn’t be returned. Working with rescues, she saw so many returned for senseless reasons like housebreaking and typical dog behavior challenges.
In 2016, she opened her for-profit, Paws for Life LLC, to help people have positive experiences with their dogs and teach them how to interact with and train their dogs so that a lifetime bond would be formed. After a few months, she contacted a local rescue to ask what assistance she could provide. This led to the beginning of her dream.
In early 2019, The Canine Training Project, Inc. was formed. All of the non-profit services provided through Paws for Life were transitioned over and others were added. Her dream had finally come true!
It is Mandy’s goal to provide training to those who otherwise would not be able to afford training. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to have a happy and fulfilling relationship with their dog.
